West Coast Training offers our graduates the benefit of Nationwide Job Referral Assistance. Our program is developed to assist our graduates in their job search in the Heavy Equipment and Crane Industries. We do everything in our power to make sure our graduates have all the tools necessary to be successful in obtaining a job in their chosen field. We take this responsibility very serious because our success as a school depends on your success in the industry.

Since the Construction Industry is seasonal in geographical areas, the prime opportunities depend on the time of year and the area that you are interested in working. If you are willing to travel or relocate for employment your opportunities are endless. If your options are limited in that way then we recommend investigating the opportunity in the areas you need to work in before enrolling in school.

While you are attending school, the Job Referral Coordinator will work with you in the classroom on two different occasions. The first will be to work on skills needed to be successful during the application and interview stages of your job search. You will be provided with a basic resume and will also have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews. The second time you meet with Job Placement it will be to help you develop a game plan on finding opportunities for work in the areas you are interested in.

Upon graduation you will receive a final copy of your resume and lists of contractors and current job leads in the areas you request. We are in contact with many employers looking for Equipment Operators and make those names available to you also. Our Job Referral Department searches newspapers and websites online every week and encourages you to call in and get all of those leads, including any new employer information received that week.

We have designed the Job Referral Services at West Coast Training to be as helpful as possible in preparing you for, and helping you through, your quest for employment in the Heavy Equipment and Crane Industries. However, ultimately your success is up to you.
