NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator
The Crane operator training course is 4 weeks long (160) clock hours. Approximately 50% of the course is spent in the field and 50% in the classroom. We have 8 mobile cranes on site and limit class sizes to 7 students to ensure no sharing of equipment after the first week.
Successful graduates will be NCCCO Certified Mobile Crane Operators and will also receive OSHA Basic Rigger and Signalperson qualification.
Direct hands-on operation of truck-mounted, self-propelled, and track-mounted cranes with hydraulic and lattice booms rigged with hook blocks, clamshell, and dragline attachments in their proper application.
Students will spend approximately 50% of training time in the field doing designed lifts, projects, rigging and signaling, and safety inspections with the above attachments while following all safety precautions.
Classroom time consists of crane nomenclature, wire rope, attachments, proper operation, hand signals, and equipment inspections. Students perform all projects under the supervision of NCCCO Certified instructors whom advise and guide them as needed. Construction conditions exist to train students in a work atmosphere.
*WCT highly recommends pairing this course with our Class-A CDL program. Having a Class-A CDL exponentially increases the job opportunities for graduates of this course.
NCCCO testing fees are included in the tuition cost for all crane certifications. Re-testing not included.
WCT is a testing facility for NCCCO Certification for all 4 (four) mobile crane certifications including both lattice and hydraulic booms.
